Hello friends! Welcome to my first-ever blog! This is so crazy that I am doing this. I have always known that I enjoy writing, but I never thought that I would do something with that hobby. Well here I am, and I am so excited that you are here too! I just know that God has amazing plans for this blog and for the ones that read it.
I guess I will start by introducing who I am so you guys can get to know who is writing! My name is Kylee and I recently (as in December 30, 2023) moved to Kansas! I am 21 years old and I just graduated from college. I received my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education in December of 2023. It is honestly so crazy to me that I just graduated college and am now living in a whole new state. This time next year, I will have a classroom with my own students. I am so excited! Okay, but back to it. The biggest thing that you should know about me is that I love Jesus. With my entire heart, I love Him. I grew up in a faith-based home with parents who love the Lord with all they have. They were able to lead and guide me throughout my life and point me in the right direction. After a few rough months during their divorce, I was able to truly see who God was in the midst of it. I learned to rely on Him and put my trust in Him. Many other things of course have taught me about God’s love, grace, and mercy. I have learned who He is through my failures and the life that I have lived. If it wasn’t for Him and His saving grace though, I would not be where I am today. He deserves everything that I can give Him and so much more! He is the only reason that I have made it this far in life. I will spend every second for the rest of my life serving Him and doing what He has called me to do; like starting this blog.
Now, the reason I started this blog is quite weird. I have always loved sharing what God is speaking to me. I have made many posts on my Facebook and Instagram pages about what God is saying to me and what He has wanted me to share with others. I have never thought about writing a blog about Jesus until I had to make a blog for one of my assignments in college. That is when God laid it on my heart to start a blog and use it as a way to share His word, who He is, and what He is speaking to me. I want to be real with each of you and be someone that you can relate to. I am not some perfect girl who grew up in church and has lived a perfect life. I am a sinner, just like everyone else. Thankfully though, I have been set free from sin because of what Jesus did on the cross for us!
For this blog, I am praying that God uses it to impact every single person that takes the time to read this. I pray that He blesses it and puts it in front of those who need encouragement, love, hope, and even a little push to keep going. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 10:24 to spur one another towards love and good deeds. If you don’t know what a spur is, it is something that cowboys wear on their boots when they ride horses. When horses need some encouragement to move, the cowboys will put the spur in the horse's sides to give them a little incentive to keep going. Spurs can hurt, but they are used in a positive way. I pray that I can be the spur for you. To be able to encourage you to keep going in your walk with Christ. It won't be easy, and it might even hurt some; but, Philippians 4:13 says that With Him, you can do all things because HE is your strength. So rest in the knowledge that God is with you in every step of life.
